The Classic American lace-up draws design elements from the gloves of yesteryear while utilizing modern technology from today. While these gloves may look old-school, don’t let it fool you. Contained within the glove, our four layered padding offers unrivaled protection and delivers gratifying feedback. The secret to this combination is the superior energy absorbing properties of our NASA foam combined with the conformability of traditional American curled horsehair.
Featuring a full black exterior, highlighted with white stitching and seam cover, and framed with white welted seams, these gloves epitomize the quintessential American made boxing glove.
To enhance the snug feel after lacing up, we chose to use a traditional triple cuff. This enables the boxer the wrap their laces through the channels between each bar of the cuff, distributing the pressure in specific areas. Each bar is separated by two internal lines of stitching that enhance seam durability.
Special attention was paid to where the knuckle padding is held inside the glove. Often times, boxing gloves hinge at the seam between the back and cuff, resulting in them becoming floppy and unsupportive. By locating the bottom of the knuckle padding below the wrist joint, the padding reenforces the hinge between the cuff and the back of the glove, greatly improving wrist support. This also results is a slightly snug and fitted feel, conforming like your favorite pair of boots.
As you use your pair of BARRIC gloves, they’ll increasingly become more comfortable. The leather will begin to patina and the horse hair with form to the shape of your fist. Our goal was to create the most comfortable, protective, and gratifying gloves you’ll ever slide your hands into, and when you’re done, you’ll display this classic piece of American heritage on the wall. From our heart to yours, we hope you love these gloves as much as we do.
