The Vintage Gold hook and loop draws design elements from the gloves of yesteryear while utilizing modern technology from today. While these gloves may look old-school, don’t let it fool you. Contained within the glove, our four layered padding offers unrivaled protection and delivers gratifying feedback. The secret to this combination is the superior energy absorbing properties of our NASA foam combined with the conformability of traditional American curled horeshair.
Featuring a sleek black exterior, highlighted with gold stitching and logo highlights, and quietly framed with black welted seams, these gloves are a modern twist on the Classic American glove.
For ease of use, these gloves feature a sleek three inch wide hook and loop strap. To prevent abrasion to the skin caused by the hook portion, we utilized a low profile hook tape that will not only protect your training partners but also enhance the closure durability (**Please note: light pressure must be applied to the strap to securely fasten it in place**). At the center of the palm, we used a double thick piece of three inch wide elastic, keeping the glove snug around your forearm and the wrist support firm.
Special attention was paid to where the knuckle padding is held inside the glove. Often times, boxing gloves hinge at the seam between the back and cuff, resulting in them becoming floppy and unsupportive. By locating the bottom of the knuckle padding below the wrist joint, the padding reenforces the hinge between the cuff and the back of the glove, greatly improving wrist support. This also results is a slightly snug and fitted feel, conforming like your favorite pair of boots.
Often times, hook and loop gloves can fall short. We specifically designed our’s to give the closest feel to a pair of lace-up’s with sacrificing any of the convenience. As you use your pair of BARRIC gloves, they’ll increasingly become more comfortable. The leather will begin to patina and the horse hair with form to the shape of your fist. Our goal was to create the most comfortable, protective, and gratifying gloves you’ll ever place your hands into, and when you’re done, you’ll display this classic piece of American heritage on the wall.
